The Betsy, which is a Floridian Georgian style building, is a distinguished landmark building alongside its Art Deco neighbors, on Ocean Drive.
The concept inspiring the public spaces , is that those can be more than waiting areas, and designed to feel like a residential living room. The colonial style and tropical interiors are elegant, yet maintain an aura that is passionately low-key.
The Betsy’s 61 rooms and suites similar, yet slightly different spaces, each room has its own unique touch which helps keep the design rich and alive.
We created variations in the room types with 4 different color palettes: Green, Lilac, Sand and Coral, all from the surrounding nature of the South Beach trees, bougainvilleas, and the ocean.
The third floor Roof Deck leads visitors to a hidden Wellness Garden, the only fully outdoor spa in Miami, a Zeninspired oasis, which was designed to soothe the senses by using earth-born elements, including liberal use of wood, stone, bamboo and natural fibers. Shielded by retractable sails set horizontally in the sky, private cabanas capture a light ocean breeze and allow guests to become one with nature.
